The Sunday New York Times - Visualized

Carnegie Mellon University | 2012

The Sunday New York Times is a staple for Americans to get their news and cultural happenings from around the world. This projects shows one issue of America's classic, content rich newspaper.

This is a poster that contains the information from one Sunday Edition of the New York Times. I tried to address everything from the images in the paper to the physical break down of each section. Even the space that the content is contained in reflects grid of the paper. It was a challenge to condense all of the information into just one poster. To start off my data collection I created a chart to catalog all of the content. After collecting the information I figured out how many articles, pictures, and ads were in the paper. From there I found out what the percents of content were, and I showcased the divides in my poster.
